What You Will Do

Process Lead as a member of the MBU (Mini Business Unit) is partnering with MBU and various Department Teams in order to develop manufacturing processes and practices to improve business results in a continuous and sustainable manner. Process Lead report the MBU Lead in the assigned area and share responsibilities across all shifts and collaborate with Manufacturing Excellence Coordinator to assure standardization of processes across site. The individual is utilizing MBU hourly/salary resources and coordinating continuous improvement processes within the MBU and cross functional to promote daily management, process-based problem solving, warehouse reorganization project management, losses elimination, standards development and employee’s engagement. The individual is identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, initiating improvement activities, coordinating data analysis, trainings, documentation management, planning and tracking implementation of improvement projects and activities. This position is intended to be rotational with the Shift Lead Position on any shift.

Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with MBU Lead and Manufacturing Excellence Coordinator to drive a cultural change to maintain continuous improvement efforts beyond process & project activities and to a lean way of working.

  • Reviews existing processes, identifying opportunities for process improvement to ensure the development and execution of the plant's zero loss journey focused on mitigating MBU all types of losses. Evaluating and prioritizing potential improvements based on gains and required effort.

  • Partner with the MBU and various Department Teams to conduct the loss analysis and support the development and execution of the master plan, implementing systems and tools to address MBU key losses.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Excellence Coordinator, other MBU Teams and sites Manufacturing Excellence Teams as well as Central Manufacturing Excellence Team, investigate and deploy latest continuous improvement tools and digital strategies.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Excellence Coordinator to develop programs, standards and trainings as well as support its review to assure its continuous improvement, accuracy, and effectiveness. Deliver training and coaching to MBU Teams.

  • Contribute to the improvement of the whole operations value stream by participating in and driving continuous improvement / problem solving activities.

  • Securing employee commitment for proactive change management

  • Flexibility to move between shifts as needed to drive improvement and corrective actions throughout department.

Qualifications

  • REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associate degree

Degree Field: Manfacturing/Management/ Continuous Improvement/ Engineering

Work Experience: 3+ years

Supervisory Experience: 1+ years

License/Certifications: Lean/Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification or equivalent

Related Work Experience: Planning, organizing, and managing others in warehousing/material handling, Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams. Intermediate to Advanced verbal & written communication, presentation, training skills, Skilled in attention to detail, problem/situation analysis, effective time and task management, multitasking capabilities. Ability to communicate to a broad and diverse audience, plan, organize, prioritize and manage projects or programs, maintain effective working relationships, demonstrate critical thinking, work with diverse populations and varying education levels, prioritize assignments, workload, and manage time accordingly.

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree

Degree Field: Manfacturing/Lean Management/ Engineering

Work Experience: 5+ years

Supervisory Experience: 3+ years

License/Certifications: Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent

Related Work Experience: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, MS Power BI. Intermediate to Advanced verbal & written communication, presentation, training skills, Skilled in attention to detail, problem/situation analysis, effective time and task management, multitasking capabilities. Ability to communicate to a broad and diverse audience, plan, organize, prioritize and manage projects or programs, maintain effective working relationships, demonstrate critical thinking, work with diverse populations and varying education levels, prioritize assignments, workload, and manage time accordingly.

Work Environment and Physical Demand
